This bestselling and highly-rated walking tour will take you to Albaicin and Sacromonte at sunset time, to uncover the magic of the city at golden hour.
Albaicin is the oldest and in my opinion, the most beautiful part of Granada.
It is the old Arab quarter that hides some of the biggest treasures. This area stretches from Alhambra Hill to the borders with Sacromonte and Elvira.
Albaicin has a strong Muslim influence. It is the place where the first Siri court was founded in the 11th century and where you will find the oldest and best preserved traditional Hammam baths (like the El Banuelo).
Access to Albaicin is from Plaza St Ana, from where you can continue along the river Darro and head up to the hills to enjoy the famous views of Alhambra.

Top Tips Walking Tours in Albaicin, Spain
Here are some practical things to consider when you book your Albaicin walking tour!
WALKING IN ALBAICIN
Albaicin is the oldest part of Granada and consists mainly of steep cobblestone streets leading up to the hills, from where you can get a nice view of Alhambra.
It’s a maze of tiny streets leading down to the main road by river Darro, or circling to a small square or Carmen. Having a local expert guide will undoubtedly save you from taking lots of wrong turns and finding the best sports without wasting any extra time.
Due to the surface you will encounter and the hills, comfortable shoes are an absolute must. In the cooler months, the streets may be a little slippery after the rain, so keep that in mind when selecting your shoes too.

TOUR EXCLUSIONS
As it’s stated on each walking tour page, these tours are not suitable for people with mobility issues, those on wheelchairs and also those who would struggle with a bit of an uphill climb.
Small kids might also not enjoy these walking tours, especially the ones longer than two hours.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
The weather can change pretty fast, especially in the winter and spring months, so keep this in mind when you get ready for your walking tour.
Also, remember to check that you’re happy with the cancellation policy of each tour – the tours typically run even in bad weather.
Luckily all the tours I selected have a free cancellation policy of up to 24 hours, so you can cancel a day before if the weather has turned bad.
TRAVELLING WITH KIDS
If you’re travelling with a baby, you should be aware that a pram with small narrow wheels will struggle to navigate through the streets in Albaicin. You might be better off with a baby carrier instead, or taking a pram with more sturdy wheels.
Small kids might find these walking tours a little exhausting as most of them involve climbing some hills. Some of the tours also don’t allow kids under a certain age to attend (usually 6 or 7 year olds).
